The University Church of Christ would
like to thank you for visiting our site. We
would like to invite you to come be with us as
we worship our Heavenly Father. We are a
local Body of Christians located in Richmond, Ky,
who love the Lord and seek Bible Authority for all
that we do. If you have never submitted your life to
Christ, the Gospel plan of salvation is very simple:
The Bible teaches that we must believe,
Hebrews
11:6
, without faith it is impossible to please him,
understanding that faith is essential we find in
Romans 10:17 that our faith comes only from
hearing the Word of God. The Word of God
teaches that we must repent. Christ reveals to us
in
Luke 13:3,  unless we make this change we will
perish. We also must be willing to Confess Jesus
Christ as the Son of God
Romans 10:10 , and be
buried with Him in Baptism
Mark 16:16 , Romans
6:3-4
.If we can assist you in obeying or if you
would like further study please don’t hesitate to
contact us.

Feature Sermon Of The Week
HEAR ROMANS 10:17 So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

BELIEVE HEBREWS 11:6 Without faith it is
impossible to please him: for he that cometh to
God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

REPENT LUKE 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except
ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

CONFESS ROMANS 10:10 For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.

BAPTISM 1ST PETER 3:21The like figure
whereunto even baptism doth also now save us
(not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but
the answer of a good conscience toward God,)
by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

“Restraining our Lips"
Proverbs 17:28 Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; When he shuts
his lips, he is considered perceptive.

The message that the Proverb writer is conveying to us is very    simple, think before you
speak. We certainly need to taste our words before we  allow them to come off our
tongue. I am sure we all have known people who had a reputation for saying the 1st
thing that came  to their mind. The truth is, we all can be guilty of this sometimes.  This
lack of discipline can cause  a lot of trouble and heartache for all those involved. There is
a lot to be said for setting back and listening sometimes. We need to constantly remind
ourselves that we don’t have to comment on everything that someone else says.
Sometimes it’s better to just hold our peace. There are certainly times to speak up, but
when we feel compelled to speak, let’s follow the advice of the Proverb writer in
Proverbs 15:28 The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of
the wicked pours forth evil
. Always study how to answer .  Never say the 1st thing that
comes to your mind. It may be the right thing to say,  but go over it in your
mind 1st to be sure.  Because once you have said it , you can’t take it back.
James 1:19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow
to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness
of God.
