Travel 1.0 mi and take the 1st right onto Paso Fino Dr go 0.4 mi and turn right at Tobiano Dr go about 500 ft and the building will be on the left. | The University Church of Christ would like to thank you for visiting our site. We would like to invite you to come be with us as we worship our Heavenly Father. We are a local Body of Christians located in Richmond, Ky, who love the Lord and seek Bible Authority for all that we do. If you have never submitted your life to Christ, the Gospel plan of salvation is very simple: The Bible teaches that we must believe, Hebrews 11:6, without faith it is impossible to please him, understanding that faith is essential we find in Romans 10:17 that our faith comes only from hearing the Word of God. The Word of God teaches that we must repent. Christ reveals to us in Luke 13:3, unless we make this change we will perish. We also must be willing to Confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God Romans 10:10 , and be buried with Him in Baptism Mark 16:16 , Romans 6:3-4.If we can assist you in obeying or if you would like further study please don’t hesitate to contact us. |

| “We have found the Messiah” |
After hearing John declare “Behold the Lamb of God” in John 1:36, 2 of his disciples
began to follow Jesus. One of those individuals was a man named Andrew.
Notice John 1: 40-42: One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was
Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said
to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ). 42 And he
brought him to Jesus.
Notice Andrew‘s reaction after finding the Messiah: #1 He didn't’t wait for someone to
come to him, he went out and found his brother, #2 He boldly proclaimed to His Brother
“ We have found the Messiah”, #3 He brought His brother to Jesus.
If we have obeyed the Gospel of Jesus Christ, at some point we saw Jesus as the Lamb of
God who takes away the sin of the world. In seeing Him as this, we began to follow Him.
Now we should have an intimate knowledge of who He is through the study of God’s
Word.
So now what are we doing?
Andrew shows us what the normal reaction should be. He took the knowledge that he had
gained and found his brother Simon. He didn't’t wait for Simon; rather, he went out and
found him. Why? Because he had been blessed with a knowledge that had eternal
ramifications. That knowledge was, “We have found the Messiah”. What a powerful
message “We have found the Messiah“. Sometimes I wonder if we truly understand
what we have found in Jesus Christ. We have found the only one who has the power to
take away the one thing that separates us from God. There is a huge obstacle standing in
our way of getting to heaven and that obstacle is sin. There isn’t anything that I can do to
remove that obstacle. My very best effort to live righteous and holy will not remove that
hindrance of sin. But Jesus Christ can and He did when He shed His precious blood on the
cross. Knowing this, are we going to the lost and telling them, “I have found the
Messiah?” Are bringing them to Jesus? This is too great of a message, to keep to
ourselves. We must tell others, “We have found the Messiah”.
